From CETL and IT:
Friendly Reminder: Lynda.com soon will become LinkedIn Learning. This migration is scheduled for August 29, 2019. The popular professional networking site LinkedIn bought Lynda.com, precipitating this upgrade. With the changeover, WesternU users will have access to LinkedIn Learning’s on-demand education solution designed to help our community gain new skills and become more proficient. Benefits to the new platform include unlimited access to more than 5,000 video-based training sessions, personalized recommendations based on each user’s experience, expert instruction by industry leaders, convenient learning through any desktop or mobile device, and the chance to reinforce what was learned through quizzes and exercise files. In our attempt to accomplish a smooth transition, the IT Training Department is offering two different types of courses to inform WesternU about the new program. One of the sessions is In the Lab with LinkedIn Learning – Before the Upgrade and the other is In the Lab with LinkedIn Learning – After the Upgrade. To learn more about these classes and to sign-up for one, click here to access the Staff & Faculty Training website. Please Note: The Go Live date for LinkedIn Learning is September 3, 2019. If anyone has questions or concerns regarding this upgrade, please feel free to reach out to Tech Support or CETL.
