The College of Veterinary Medicine and the Harriet K. and Philip Pumerantz Library are celebrating 250 years of veterinary medicine education with an exhibit and special events. In 1761, the world’s first veterinary school was founded in Lyon, France.

The library’s Vet 2011 exhibit features a timeline of veterinarian education, a display on the local dairy industry, and highlights of the formation of the WesternU College of Veterinary Medicine. New items will be highlighted in this exhibit throughout the year. The Pumerantz Library is at 287 Third St., Pomona, Calif.
