WesternU’s Towne & Gown Golf Classic set for June 27

Western University of Health Sciences’ fifth annual Towne & Gown Golf Classic reached a milestone this year. Western University of Health Sciences invites the public to an exciting day of golf to benefit student scholarships.

The annual Towne & Gown Golf Classic will be played Monday, June 27, 2016 at Red Hill Country Club, 8358 Red Hill Country Club Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. 91730. Registration and lunch starts at 11 a.m., followed by a noon shotgun start. A dinner and awards ceremony will follow.

The Golf Ball Drop will take place at 11:45 a.m. The owner of the golf ball that lands in the hole or closest to the pin will win the 50/50 cash prize. Cost is $10 for one ball, $25 for three balls and $75 for 10 balls. Other contests include hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Cost is $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome. Dinner for a non-golfing guest is available for $50. Proceeds will benefit the Towne & Gown Endowed Scholarship Fund. Five WesternU students each received $1,000 Towne & Gown scholarships this year.

The deadline to enter is June 20, 2016. Come out for a fun day of golf and camaraderie to help WesternU continue to support our students’ academic endeavors. Special thanks to tournament sponsor T.F. Chen, DDS, who has supported this event since its inception.
