WesternU Veterinary Medicine Open House

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences will hold an open house on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. WesternU is located at 309 E. Second St., Pomona, Calif. 91766 (Thomas Guide map page: 641-A1)

Visitors are encouraged to tour the college, learn about becoming a veterinarian, receive free pet care tips and enjoy food, drinks and ice cream. Low-cost pet microchipping will be available and Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will be able to earn badges. Dogs, cats, amphibians and reptiles will also be on hand.

The College of Veterinary Medicine celebrated its first graduating class of 81 students in May 2007. The college is committed to serving society and animals through the preparation of students for the practice of veterinary medicine, veterinary public health and/or veterinary research in an educational program of self-directed learning, reverence for life and clinical education through strategic partnerships.
