Western University of Health Sciences students and faculty will hold a free Women’s Clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Health Professions Center (HPC) Clinical Skills Lab, second floor, 550 E. Second St., Pomona, Calif.

WesternU’s Pomona Community Health Action Team (PCHAT) will offer free pap smears, breast exams, health screenings and nutrition and fitness education. No treatments or medications will be available.

“This is a way to engage with the community and bring the skills you’re learning in school to providing care to people who wouldn’t have access to it otherwise,” said College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific student Clara Lee, DO ’16. “It is a fulfilling experience for medical students to connect with the community in service.”

Appointments are recommended. To make an appointment, call 909-766-0171 or email pchatwomen@gmail.com. Click here to view a flier: http://webassets.westernu.edu/westernu-news/docs/womens-clinic2013.jpg
