WesternU to hold free pediatric clinic March 9

Western University of Health Sciences will hold a free pediatric clinic from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Boys and Girls Club of Pomona Valley, 1420 S. Garey Ave., Pomona, Calif.

WesternU students in the osteopathic medicine, physician assistant and optometry programs will conduct physical examinations, blood glucose screenings and vision screenings overseen by faculty members. The event is organized by the Pomona Community Health Action Team (PCHAT), a student organization that serves the medical needs of the Pomona community.

There will also be educational activities focused on hand washing, nutrition, exercise, the human body and eye care. Children of all ages are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.
