Western University of Health Sciences is co-sponsoring a new exhibit at the Los Angeles County Fair that teaches guests about the human body.

"Our Body: The Universe Within" is an exciting and educational exhibit that reveals the mysteries of the human anatomy through the display of actual human bodies and organs. Attendees will have the opportunity to journey through each of the body’s major systems to see firsthand how they function and relate to other systems.

WesternU student and faculty volunteers will answer questions from the public about anatomy and the human body.

"The exhibit is great opportunity for WesternU students to shine," said Elizabeth Rega, PhD, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Associate Professor/Director of Strategic Alliances & Special Projects. "We pride ourselves in our students’ ability to communicate. Their work with the public is a direct reflection of their future skill in interacting with patients in an informative, understandable and compassionate manner."

Presale tickets for the exhibit are available now online for $5; tickets at the door are $7. This does not include admission to the Fair. The L.A. County Fair runs Sept. 4 to Oct. 3. For more information visit www.lacountyfair.com and www.ourbodytheuniversewithin.com/
