Three WesternU College of Optometry alumni rank among “America’s Best Eye Doctors”

Three graduates of Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Optometry appear in Newsweek’s ranking of “America’s Best Eye Doctors 2023.”

WesternU College of Optometry alumni Talian Amadian, OD ’18, ranked No. 9, Kambiz Silani, OD ’13, ranked No. 15, and Judy Cao, OD ’14, FAAO, FCOVD, ranked No. 31.

“Western University of Health Sciences takes immense pride in celebrating three remarkable alumni who have ascended to the pinnacle of their profession, ranking among the top 200 doctors of optometry in the United States,” said College of Optometry Founding Dean Elizabeth Hoppe, OD, MPH, DrPH. “Their dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to advancing eye care exemplify the University’s goal to produce outstanding health care leaders who positively impact the world.”

America’s Best Eye Doctors 2023 ranks 200 ophthalmologists and 200 optometrists from the 20 U.S. states with the highest population, according to Newsweek. During the survey period from March to April 2023, more than 10,000 medical experts were invited to an online survey via Newsweek.com and more than 6,800 votes were collected and analyzed.
