From the College of Pharmacy:

Kudos on accomplishments

Dr. Shawn Smith has been working in the frontlines with the City of Victorville and High Desert Homeless Services to expand homeless shelter operations and oversee health care services. More specifically, he has assisted in developing written policies, conducting staff and volunteer trainings, performing health screenings and chronic diseases management. Through the not-for-profit organization Symba Center, Dr. Smith was able to secure funding to provide COVID-19 testing services and personal protective equipment for the underserved population. This funding was made available by the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, and distributed through the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.
