WesternU breaks ground on student housing project

Western University of Health Sciences held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday, June 19, 2013 for a new student housing project at Third and Linden streets in Pomona, Calif.

The project is a mixed-use, 173,000-square-foot graduate student housing community that is scheduled to be completed by August 2014. The four-story building will include student-focused apartment-type residential quarters, as well as about 10,000 square feet of administrative space to be occupied by WesternU. David Connett, DO, vice dean, medical director and an associate professor of Family Medicine for the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) at Western University of Health Sciences has been elected president of the Osteopathic Medical Board of California (OMBC).
