WesternU ASHP/CSHP Chapter Receives National Recognition

The Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) chapter at WesternU has achieved ASHP-SSHP Recognition for 2010-11. The WesternU student chapter project focuses on professional and educational outreach to underserved communities in our area. Chapter members devoted time after class to promote the profession of pharmacy by visiting high schools to inspire students from minority background to pursue higher education. In addition, high school students were informed of the humanistic rewards that are linked to careers in the healthcare system, specifically careers in the health-system pharmacy.
