Associate Professor Dayle Armstrong, PT, MS, DPT, Associate Dean of Research and Professor Donna Redman-Bentley, PT, PhD, and Mary Wardell, PT, DPT ’08, MS, PCS, had a research article, “Differences in Function Among Children With Sensory Processing Disorders, Physical Disabilities, and Typical Development,” published in Pediatric Physical Therapy, 2013:25:315-321.

Kudos on accomplishments

Dr. Fadi Khasawneh has been awarded $416,976 by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for his project, “Investigation of Platelet G-Protein Coupled Receptors.”

From the College of Graduate Nursing:

HRSA funding

Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Graduate Nursing was awarded $256,526 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the National Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) in July. This award is the fourth year that HRSA has provided support to the College of Graduate Nursing. Funds from this award will be used to prepare nurse educators enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program

From the College of Veterinary Medicine:

Kudos on accomplishments

The Senate of the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, recently approved a recommendation to award Dr. Tracey McNamara with the degree of Doctor of Science, honoris causa, for her significant contributions to veterinary pathology and for increasing awareness of the links between animal health and human health.
