Dr. Lawrence Harkless, founding dean of WesternU’s College of Podiatric Medicine, was one of the featured presenters at DFCon 2009 — Diabetic Foot Global Conference, held March 19-21 in Hollywood.
Dr. Harkless spoke on two topics: "My Intimal Relationship with Vascular Surgery," and "When Do I Call the Vascular Surgeon?" The conference featured a variety of such presentations by medical professionals from all over the country, as well as vendor exhibits and special guests, including "Battlestar Galactica" and "Miami Vice" actor Edward James Olmos.
