Senior service providers visit WesternU
Community Senior Services (CSS) held its bimonthly Senior Services Alliance networking meeting at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif., March 6, 2012. The meeting allowed senior service providers to share information and learn more about WesternU.
CSS’s mission is to connect people, information, resources and communities to enrich the lives of older adults, according to its website. The organization provides services such as door-to-door transportation, travel programs, a Senior Companion Program, Senior Help Line and the Family Caregiver Support Program.
“It’s an opportunity for senior providers to have a moment of down time and network,” said CSS Chief Executive Officer Floy A. Biggs, MPA. “We’re excited to be here. There’s a lot going on here.”
Senior Services Alliance members received a tour of WesternU’s Patient Care Center and learned about the services offered at the Dental Center, Eye Care Center, Foot & Ankle Center, Medical Center, Pharmacy, Travel Health Center, and the Western Diabetes Institute.
