Progress must not sacrifice patients

The boom in health-care infrastructure spending and expansion in the Inland Empire, which was chronicled in a Daily Bulletin front-page story July 28, is a necessary and laudable response to the challenges facing health-care providers and the public.
The hospitals, clinics and educational institutions striving to meet the needs of a constantly growing population should be commended for their foresight and effort, which can only be of benefit to our communities.
