Memorial for Dr. Ben Cohen

More than 100 WesternU faculty, staff, administrators and students, along with family and friends, were on hand Friday, October 9 for an on-campus memorial for Dr. Benjamin Cohen, the University’s former Provost and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Cohen, who died September 14 at his home in Pasadena, is credited as the architect behind WesternU’s 2007-11 expansion, which added four new colleges, an Oregon medical campus, and more than $100 million in new buildings and facilities. Dr. Cohen was celebrated for his kindness, his humor, and his humility, and for embodying WesternU’s mission of humanistic, compassionate care.
