Free Health Clinic At Emerson Village

The Pomona Community Health Action Team (PCHAT) will provide free health

screenings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 14, at Emerson

Village, 755 N. Palomares, Pomona.

At the event, residents of all local communities will be able to get

general health screenings. Seniors particularly are encouraged to attend.

Students from Western University of Health Sciences will conduct health

screenings under the supervision of licensed physicians. Students from the

Pomona Unified School District’s Adult Education program for nursing

assistants will also participate and members of the Associated Pomona

Teachers Association help with organization and publicity.

In addition, representatives from the Pomona Police Department will be on

hand to offer information about crime prevention.

All are held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; locations and dates for the other

screenings scheduled in this year’s series are:

Nov. 4, 2000, Philadelphia Elementary, 600 E. Philadelphia St., Pomona;

Jan. 20, 2001, PUSD Strategic Planning Center, 800 S. Garey, Pomona;

Feb. 17, 2001, PUSD Wellness Center/The Village at Indian Hill, 1425 S.

Holt, Pomona;

April 14, 2001, Western University Medical Center, 360 E. Mission Blvd.,

Pomona;

May 12, 2001, Washington Elementary, 975 E. 9th St., Pomona
