COMP-Northwest Professor and Executive Director of the Medical Anatomy Center Brion Benninger, MD, MBChB, MSc-Sports Medicine, mentored 23 students on 16 projects which were all accepted via a blind peer reviewed process and presented at the International World Congress of Ultrasound for Medical Education in Detroit, Michigan Sept. 7-10, 2023.

The 15 WesternU COMP-Northwest students were: Conor Davenport, Rania Djemil, Maui Lee, Joshua McCluskey, Natalija Miller, Chris Cariello, David Beckett, Adam Garman, Walker Shibley-Styer, Kiana Hafferty, Luke Arsenault, Dennis Nguyen, Alexander Olden, Noah Swigart, and Judd Williams.

Eight non-WesternU students also participated, including post baccalaurette and undergrad students from University of Oregon Christian Panaitescu, Teagan Plutte, Charlotte Gray, Colorado Olson, and Olivia Devalasco; Warner Pacific University student Ruben Estrada, West Linn High School student Jack Benninger; and UCLA student Adam Simsauser. Dr. Benninger was particularly impressed with the medical students from COMP-Northwest regarding their commitment to research, honoring a very busy timetable and mentoring the post baccalaureate and undergrad students.
