Dr. Sheryl Chow

I am pleased announce the following activities from Dr. Sheryl Chow in her service to the American Heart Association, and the Annual Session Program.

  1. Member, AHA Annual Session Program Committee 2019-2021.
  2. Moderator, Cardiovascular Seminar and Competition:  Pecha Kucha Says:  What to do when HF affects other organs?  Annual AHA (virtual) Session: November 14, 2020 5-6 pm (Central time).
  3. Newly appointed member of the AHA Council Operations Committee. 2020-2022
  4. Immediate Past-Chair, AHA Clinical Pharmacology Committee 2020-2021

Dr. Cynthia Jackevicius

Dr. Jackevicius recently attended the American Heart Association virtual meeting in November and was involved in multiple abstract presentations.

Dr. Jackevicius served as the senior author for the first two abstracts, which were presented by WesternU alumni Robert Cohen Sedgh, PharmD (Class of 2020) and Jungyeon Moon, PharmD, PhD (Class of 2020), respectively. They worked on the projects during their advanced electives rotation with Dr. Jackevicius.

Dr. Benjamin Malcolm

Dr. Malcolm and Dr. Heba Diab (WesternU COP PGY-1 Resident 2019-2020 with Dr. Mark Nguyen) published a case report on tinnitus with inhaled N,N-dimethyltryptamine.

Dr. Shawn Smith

Timmy Luu (PharmD Candidate 2021), under the guidance of Dr. Smith, presented a poster describing the steps in developing a free for the underserved population at the California Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.
