Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU) has hired two new

information technology specialists: Albert Agazaryan as Webmaster I and

Art Peshkam as Director of Network Operations.

Agazaryan, a Glendale resident, has experience as an animator for Bonk

Pictures in Hollywood, a Website developer for Noble Technologies in

Glendale, and a computer artist for Electric Filmworks in Glendale. He has

a bachelor of fine arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts,

and is also skilled in a wide range of mediums in fine arts, analog to

digital technology, computer graphics and animation. At a young age he

developed a fascination with art and translating abstract images from his

mind to paper.

“”The most complex and challenging tool I could find was the computer, and

the world that it is capable of creating,”” Agazaryan said.

Peshkam comes to WesternU from Cabletron Systems, where he spent three

years as a networking engineer responsible for most of the company’s

Fortune 500 customers on the West Coast. The Diamond Bar resident is no

stranger to WesternU; he worked in the University’s business department

for several years and actually founded the school’s management information

systems department. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cal

Poly Pomona.

“”There is a cultural renaissance at WesternU, and major plans to take the

University’s digital learning infrastructure into the next millenium,””

Peshkam said. “”I think the expertise I acquired with the Cabletron

company, which is an innovator in the industry, will enable me to play a

major role in this endeavor.””
